Hard Net is a stiff fabric used for lining under dresses. It has an open weave with small holes, which helps puff and maintain the dress's shape. During the Victorian era, this type of fabric was commonly referred to as "crinoline." A petticoat, also known as an underdress or underskirt, is often worn underneath the main dress.
